School Uniform Drive
At the start of each school season many students in the New Orleans area go to school without a proper school uniform, no uniform at all, or choose not no attend school because their family cannot afford school uniforms. Students who cannot meet unform requirements suffer a discomfort because they stand out in a wrong way.
Since 1997 when schools started requiring uniforms we have raised $50 donations to help one student purchase (2) school uniforms. To prove what your donation was used for, we send you back the "actual receipt" and "thank you" note from the student we assigned to your donation. We have raised over $500,000 in the past 14 years and have spent 100% of the donations on school uniforms.
.
Students who need help are selected by school social workers and the funds are controlled by each school who request help. THERE NO ADMINISTRATION COST. EVERY PENNY RAISED IS SPENT ON SCHOOL UNIFORMS.

The funds raised are administered by a local law firm and to prove all funds were spent in accordance with our charter, we have the overall program audited.
The 2010-11 School Uniform drive helped over 360 needy students purchase new school uniforms. As promised, every penny raised was spent on
school uniforms. We raised $17,405 in donations and purchase $17.722 in school uniforms. The program was Audited by the Law Firm of Cabibi and Cabibi
